Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 19, 2026 (View History)
This Privacy Policy explains how Light Table, the Photographers Light Table application (the "App"), developed and operated by William Termini (ABN 47 283 458 067) ("Developer", "we", "us", or "our"), collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use the App.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and the End User License Agreement, which can be found at the following link: https://lighttable.termini.me/eula
1. Information Collection
We do not ourselves collect, store, or sell personal information about you. The only data collection connected with the App is performed by Google AdMob, which serves advertisements and collects the advertising-related data described below; some of that data (such as advertising identifiers and IP address) may be considered personal information under laws like the GDPR and CCPA/CPRA. The optional Remote Control feature communicates solely between your own devices on your local network and sends nothing to us (see Section 2).
Google AdMob collects and processes data according to their privacy policy, which you can review at the following link: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/
Specifically, Google AdMob collects the following data:
- IP address: The device's IP address, which may be used to estimate the general location of a device.
- User product interactions: User product interactions and interaction information, including app launch, taps, and video views.
- Diagnostic information: Information related to the performance of your app and the SDK, including crash logs, app launch time, hang rate, and energy usage.
- Device and Account identifiers: Advertising IDs (e.g., Android Advertising ID, Apple IDFA), app set ID, and, if applicable, other identifiers related to signed-in accounts on the device.
2. Remote Control and Local Network Use
The App includes an optional Remote Control feature, which is off by default. When you choose to start it, the App runs a small server on your device and announces it on your local network (and, if enabled, directly to nearby devices) using your device's name — the name set in your device's settings — so that your other devices can discover and control the light table.
When the feature is on:
- Light table settings (such as brightness, color, and grid options) and your saved scenes (including their names) can be viewed and changed by devices that connect to yours.
- This information travels directly between your devices over your local network or a direct device-to-device connection. It is never sent to us, to Google, or to any other third party, and it never leaves your network.
- Communication over the local network is not encrypted. An optional PIN can be enabled to restrict who may connect; the PIN is stored only on your device.
- On Apple devices, the operating system will ask for Local Network permission before the feature can operate.
Your settings and saved scenes are otherwise stored only on your device. Scene files you choose to export are saved or shared where you direct them. Deleting the App deletes its locally stored data.
3. In-App Purchases
The App offers in-app purchases. All transactions are processed through the respective app store (e.g., Apple App Store or Google Play Store). We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card information or other financial data. The processing of these payments is subject to the terms and privacy policies of the respective app store.
4. Information Use
We use the information collected by Google AdMob solely for the purpose of serving relevant advertisements within the App. We do not use this information for any other purpose, nor do we share it with any third parties, except for Google, as required for the functionality of Google AdMob.
5. Information Disclosure
We do not disclose any collected information to third parties, except as required by law, when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, property, or safety or that of others, or as necessary to share the data with Google for the proper functioning of Google AdMob.
